1963 - He was born in Hanford, California, on the 21st of April.

         - He attended Leigh High School (San Jose, California) and played football and baseball.

1987 - On 16th of July, he played at Houston Astros.

1994 - He was traded to the San Diego Padres.

1996 - He became the National League MVP.

1999 - He returned to Houston as a free agent where he played for two more seasons.

         - He hired by the Padres to be a spring training instructor.

1994 - He admitted that he had a problem with alcohol.

2000 - He was checked a rehabilitation center.

2001 - He was arrested in March for possession and sentenced to probation.

2004 - He admitted in a Houston court that he had violated his probation.

         - He tested positive for cocaine in September.

         - He suffered heart attack in The Bronx on 10th of October and died at New York's Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
