Calment, Jeanne Louise

1875 - Jeanne Louise Calment was born in Arles, France on the 21st of February.
1889 - She was 14 when the Eiffel Tower was completed.
1896 - Married her second cousin Fernand Calment, a wealthy storeowner.
1965 - She signed a deal, common in France, to sell her condominium apartment en viager to lawyer François Raffray.
1985 - Moved into a nursing home, having lived on her own until age 110.
1988 - At age 113, Calment was given the Guinness Records' "world's oldest person" title.
1989 - At the age of 114, she appeared briefly in the film Vincent and Me as herself, making her the oldest actress ever.
1995 - Released a French documentary film about her life, entitled Beyond 120 Years with Jeanne Calment.
- She reached 120 years and 238 days to become the Guinness "oldest person ever".
1996 - The nursing home where she lived released a CD entitled "Time's Mistress".
1997 - Died on 5th of August, the oldest recorded person dies at 122.
