1943 - William Laws Calley, Jr. was born on the 8th of June in Miami, Florida.

         - He graduated from high school in Miami, Florida; he attended Miami Edison High School. After high school,

1963-1964 - He attended Palm Beach Junior College for one school year.

1966 - He enlisted into the United States Army in Albuquerque on the 26th of July, at the height of the Vietnam War.

1967 - He applied and was accepted into Officer Candidate School (OCS).

         - He Graduated from OCS Class No. 51 on the 7th of September, and was commissioned a second lieutenant of infantry.

1969 - He was charged on the 5th of September, with six specifications of premeditated murder for the death of 109 Vietnamese civilians near the village of My Lai.

1970 - Calley's trial started on 17th of November.

1971 - He was convicted on the 29th of March.

         - On 31st of March, he was sentenced to life in prison.
