1476 - Born in Venice, Italy. Italian born explorer and the son of John Cabot.
1497 - Sailed with his father John Cabot in the service of England, in May.
1512 - Employed by Henry VIII as a cartographer at Greenwich.
- Accompanied Willoughby to Spain, where he was made captain by Ferdinand V.
1517 - He tried to win the support of Vice-Admiral Perte for a new expedition.
1518 - Cabot was named Pilot Major and official examiner of pilots.
1522 - Secretly offered his services to Venice, undertaking to find the Northwest Passage to China.
1525 - Received the rank of captain general from Spain, and was entrusted on 4th of March.
1530 - Cabot returned to Spain.
1532 - Banished to Oran in Morocco.
1533 - He was pardoned and went to Seville.
1557 - The date of Cabot's death has not been definitely discovered. It is supposed that he died within the year.
