Butt, Isaac
1813 - Butt was born in Glenfin, Co. Donegal on the 6th of September.
1852-1865 - He was Member of Parliament for Youghal.
1870 he founded the Irish Home Government Association.
- He also founded the Dublin University Magazine and for much of his life was a member of the Irish Conservative Party.
1879 - He resigned the leadership and was replaced by William Shaw, who in turn was replaced by Charles Stewart Parnell.
1879 - He died on the 5th of May in Clonskeagh in Dublin.
