1767 – On her fifteenth birthday, Frances made a sacrificial bonfire of her writings, including her journals and the “novel” of “Caroline Evelyn” whose story formed the precursor for Frances’ first published work, Evelina.

1778-1782 – Wrote the books, Evelina: A Young Lady’s Entrance into the World and Cecilia: Memoirs of an Heiress, by the author of Evelina.

1793 – Married to Alexander D’Arblay on July 31st.

1796 – Wrote the novel, Camilla.

1840 – Died on January 6th in London, England.
