1939 - Brundtland was born in Oslo on the 20th of April.

1963-1965 - She was educated Medical doctor (cand. med.) at the University of Oslo, and Master of Public Health at Harvard University.

1974-1979 - She was Norwegian environment minister.

1975 - She became deputy leader of Labor Party.

1981 - She was the leader of Labor Party.

         - She was the prime minister of Norway (1st female prime minister)

1983-1987 - She became chairman of UN Commission on the Environment and Development.

1994 - Brundtland was awarded the Charlemagne Prize of the city of Aachen.

1998 - She became the director-general of World Health Organization (WHO)

2006 - Brundtland was a member of the Panel of Eminent Persons who reviewed the work of UNCTAD (United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.

2007 - In May, the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon named Brundtland, as well as Ricardo Lagos, the former president of Chile and Han Seung-soo, the former foreign minister of South Korea, to serve as UN Special Envoys for Climate Change.
