1944 – Brumer joined the consulting firm of Ammann and Whitney, premier bridge building company.
1949 – He was made partner of Ammann and Whitney.
1964 – Milton Brumer was chief engineer in charge of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the longest suspension bridge in the world (4,260 ft.).
1965 – He became the president of Ammann and Whitney.
1999 – Died on August 5th in Boca, Raton, Florida at the age of 97.
