1964 - Born on June 22nd in Exeter, New Hampshire, USA.
1970-1980 - Studied at Phillips Exeter Academy with a Christian environment.
1982 - Graduated from the Phillips Exeter Academy and went to Amherst College.
- He became a member of Psi Upsilon fraternity and sang with Amherst Glee Club.
1986 - Graduated from Amherst College with a double major in Spanish and English.
1990 - Published a CD called "Perspective."
1991 - Moved to Hollywood to become a singer-songwriter and pianist.
- Taught classes at Beverly Hills Preparatory School.
1993 - Released a self-titled album "Dan Brown". The songs, "976-Love" and "If You Believe in Love" were included on this album.
1994 - Released his "Angels & Demons" album.
1996 - He quit teaching and became a full time writer.
1997 - Married Blythe Newlon, whom he met few years back in the National Academy of Songwriters, at Pea Porridge Pond, New Hampshire.

2001 - Published "Deception Point."
2003 - Released his famous novel "The Da Vinci Code."
- Listed as one of New York Times' best seller.
2004 - Donated US$2.2 million to Phillips Exeter Academy to provide computers and high-tech equipment for students.
2005 - He became Time magazine's one of 100 Most Influential People of the Year.
2006 - Presently developing "The Solomon Key".
- Went under trial for allegedly copying the concept of the book "Holy Blood Holy Grail." The case was dismissed on July 4th.
