1858 - He was born in Sylvan Lake, New York on the 8th of May.

1879 - Brouthers' career began and didn't finish, giving him the distinction of playing in four different decades.

1898-1904 - Brouthers played minor league baseball. He played for Toronto in the Eastern League and played for Poughkeepsie of the Hudson River League, batting a league-leading .373 at age 46.

1945 - Brouthers was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veterans Committee.

1932 - Dan Brouthers is interred in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Wappingers Falls, New York on the 2nd of August.
