1879 – Brouthers’ career began and didn’t finish, giving him the distinction of playing in four different decades.
1898-1904 – Brouthers played minor league baseball. He played for Toronto in the Eastern League and played for Poughkeepsie of the Hudson River League, batting a league-leading .373 at age 46.
1945 – Brouthers was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame by the Veterans Committee.
1932 – Dan Brouthers is interred in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Wappingers Falls, New York on the 2nd of August.
