1918 – Brockhouse was born in Lethbridge Alberta on the 15th of July.

1947 – He was a graduate of the University of British Columbia BA.

1950 – He was graduate of the University of Toronto MA, Ph.D.

         – He carried out research at Atomic Energy of Canada’s Chalk River Nuclear Laboratory.

1962 – He became professor at McMaster University in Canada.

1982 – He was made an Officer of the Order of Canada.

1994 – He shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with American Clifford Shull for developing neutron scattering techniques for studying condensed matter.

1995 – He was promoted to Companion.

2003 – He died on the 13th of October.
