Broca, Pierre Paul(Pierre)
1824 - He was born on the 28th of June.
1859 - He founded Paris Anthropology Society.
1861 - He studying connection between aphasia and brain lesions, discovered localization of articulate speech in region of left frontal brain (Broca's area 1st known localization of brain function)
1871 - He wrote 5-volume memoirs "Memoirs of Anthropology".
1872 - He founded journal "Revue d'anthropologie".
1876 - He founder and 1st director of Paris Anthropology School.
1979 - Eponym of Carl Sagan's book "Broca's Brain: Reflections on the Romance of Science".
