1940 – Mame Madior Boye was born.
2000 – She is a former Prime Minister of Senegal, the first and to date only female holder of that position. Following the victory of Abdoulaye Wade in the presidential election
– She became minister of justice in April.
2001 – She was appointed as prime minister by Wade on the 3rd of March, following the resignation of Moustapha Niasse.
2002 – Boye and her government were dismissed by the President on the 4th of November.
2004 – In September, Boye was named as the African Union’s Special Representative for the Protection of Civilians in Armed Conflict.
