1791 – Born on the 20th of October in Boston, Massachusetts. American manufacturer.

         – He attended Rugby School in England, and later went to Harvard College.

1817 – He returned to Boston and became involved in the Boston Manufacturing Company at Waltham, Massachusetts.

1818 – Kirk Boott had married Francis Seymour Haden’s aunt, Ann Haden.

1822 – Boston Manufacturing Company formed the Merrimack Manufacturing Company and he was sent to Lowell to be the first agent and treasurer.

1835 – The Boott Cotton Mills was constructed and one of many cotton textile mill complexes established in the growing city of Lowell, Massachusetts.

1837 – He died in his carriage at the corner of Dutton and Merrimack Streets in downtown Lowell on 11th of April.
