Bonner, Robert Cleve

1942 - Born in Wichita, Kansas on 29th of January. He was a prosecutor, federal judge, Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration and Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

1966 - Bonner graduated from Georgetown Law School.

1967-1971 - He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

1984-1989 - Served as United States Attorney for the Central District of California.

1989-1990 - Judge of the United States District Court for District of California.

1990 - On 11th of May, President Bush nominated him to be Administrator of the DEA.

- He was confirmed by the Senate on 27th of July and sworn in as the DEA's fifth Administrator on 13th of August.

1993-2001 - Partner in the Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher an international law firm.

2001-2003 - Bcame the Commissioner of the United States Customs Service.

2003-2005 - Served as 1st commissioner of US Customs and Border Protection.

2005 - Announced his resignation from Commissioner of the United States Customs Service on 28th of September.

- Retired on 25th of November.
