Bondevik, Kjell Magne(Kjell)
1947 - He was born in Molde, Norway, on the 3rd of September.
1972 - He was State secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister during Lars Korvald's government.
1973 - Bondevik was a member of the Storting (Parliament).
1975 - He became a theological candidate from MF Norwegian School of Theology.
1979 - He ordained as pastor in the (Lutheran) Norwegian State Church.
1983 - He was Minister of Church and Education in Kåre Willoch's government.
1985-1986 - He became Prime Minister Willoch's deputy.
1989-1990 - He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs in Jan P. Syse's government.
199 - He served as Prime Minister of Norway.
2001 - He became the Norway's longest serving non-Socialist Prime Minister since World War II.
2004 - He was awarded the Grand Cross of St. Olav, the first sitting Norwegian Prime Minister to receive the Order of St. Olav in 80 years.
2006 - On the 31st of October, he published his memoir, called Et liv i spenning (A life in excitement/tension).
- He is the President of the Oslo Centre for Peace and Human Rights.
