1773 – Born on November 24th in Frederick, Maryland. American delegate from Illinois Territory.
1794 – Received a common-school education; moved to Kaskaskia, Ill. (then Indiana Territory).
1805-1808 – Engaged in agricultural pursuits; member of the legislative council of Indiana Territory.
1812 – Elected a Delegate on October 10th when Illinois Territory was formed.
1814 – Served as receiver of public moneys in the general land office at Kaskaskia, Illinois.
1818 – When Illinois was admitted as a State into the Union Bond was elected its first Governor.
– During his term the State Capitol was moved from Kaskaskia to Vandalia and a banking system was established.
1823 – Appointed register of the land office for the district of Kaskaskia on January 28th.
1832 – Died on April 12th in Kaskaskia, Randolph County, Illinois.
