1842 – Boldini was born in Ferrara, on the 31st of December, the son of a painter of religious subjects.

1862 – He went to Florence to study painting

         – He attained great success in London as a portraitist.

1872 – Boldini lived in Paris, where he became a friend of Edgar Degas.

1889 – Nominated commissioner of the Italian section of the Paris Exposition.

1931 – Received the Légion d’honneur.

         – Died in Paris on 11th of July.
