1880 - Born in Scranton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, on the 6th of January. American politician.

         - He attended St. Thomas Aquinas College and worked as a carpenter and general contractor.

1905-1906 - He was the Scranton city council.

1907 - Served as the Board of education in Scranton.

1908 - Married to Sarah Jennings on 24th of November.

1915-1919 - Became the county commissioner of Lackawanna County.

1930 - He was elected to the House of Representatives.

1931 - Married again to Veronica Barrett on 27th of October.

         - Elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-second and to the five succeeding Congresses.

1935 - He served as the Majority Whip.

         - Member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and of the Knights of Columbus.

1942 - He died on 18th of May and was interred in the Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
