1907 – Served as the Board of education in Scranton.

1908 – Married to Sarah Jennings on 24th of November.

1915-1919 – Became the county commissioner of Lackawanna County.

1930 – He was elected to the House of Representatives.

1931 – Married again to Veronica Barrett on 27th of October.

         – Elected as a Democrat to the Seventy-second and to the five succeeding Congresses.

1935 – He served as the Majority Whip.

         – Member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and of the Knights of Columbus.

1942 – He died on 18th of May and was interred in the Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.
