1872 - Born Johan Kristoffer Hansen in Orkedalsooren, Orkanger, Sor-Trondelag, a community near Trondheim.
1893 - His literary work began with the publication of Unge tanker under the name Johan K. Hansson.
1894 - After his father's deat he took the name Bojer.
His best work was "Den siste viking", which depicts the lives of the fishermen from Trondelag who fished in winter in the Lofoten islands.
1959 - Johan Bojer died on 3rd of July.
