Boissevain, Inez Milholland
1886 - Inez Milholland Boissevain was born on the 6th of August in Brooklyn, New York. She was an American labor leader, socialist, and suffragist.
- Attended Vassar College, where she was once suspended for organizing a women's rights meeting.
1909 - She graduated from Vassar College and spent time in Europe.
- She became involved in the National American Woman Suffrage Association.
1913 - She led the Suffrage Parade in Washington, DC, on the day of Woodrow Wilson's inauguration.
- In July, she married Eugen Jan Boissevain, a Dutch importer.
1915 - She was a leading figure on Henry Ford's ill-fated Peace Ship expedition.
1916 - She suffered from pernicious anemia.
- During a speech in Los Angeles that September she suddenly collapsed.
- On 25th of November, she died at the age of 30.
- Boissevain last public words were, "Mr. President, how long must women wait for liberty?"
