1891 - Born on the 26th of May in Hermanville, Mississippi. He was an American poet and novelist.

1912-1913 - Bodenheim and Ben Hecht met in Chicago, and became literary friends. Together they founded a periodical.

1914 - Bodenheim was called "Bodey." He began publishing his earliest verse in Poetry Magazine.

1918-1946 - Among the verse published are Minna and Myself, Advice, Against This Age, The king of Spain, Bringing Jazz! and Selected Poems.

1923-1930 - His novels include Blackguard, Replenishing Jessica, Ninth Avenue, Georgia Man, Naked on Roller Skates and A Virtuous Girl.

1954 - He died on the 6th of February.
