1848 - Born on March 2nd in Brittany, France. Paul Blouet was a French humorist and writer best known by his pseudonym, Max O'Rell.
- Blouet studied piano at the Paris Conservatoire, was educated in Paris at the Ecole Polytechnique, and served as a cavalry officer in the Franco-Prussian War.
1872 - He went to England As correspondent for several French newspapers.
1876-1884 - Became the very efficient French master at St Paul's School, London.
1887 - Wrote his first book, John Bull and His Island, a work that parodied English characteristics and eccentricities.
1890-1900 - He concentrated on lecturing, often in the United Kingdom and America.
1902 - He settled in the Champs-Élysées quarter of Paris as correspondent of the New York Journal and wrote in the French newspaper Le Figaro.
1903 - He died of stomach cancer on 25th of May in Paris.
