1792 - Anthony Blanc was an american, (French-born) archbishop.

1820 - He was assigned as pastor of St. Francis of Pointe Coupee.

1835-1850 - Archbishop Antoine Blanc was Grand Vicar, Fourth Bishop.

1851-1860 - Became the 1st archbishop of New Orleans.

        - Hardly anyone in the history of New Orleans accomplished more for the church and for the community than did this clergyman who is little known by our contemporary generations.
