1792 – Anthony Blanc was an american, (French-born) archbishop.

1820 – He was assigned as pastor of St. Francis of Pointe Coupee.

1835-1850 – Archbishop Antoine Blanc was Grand Vicar, Fourth Bishop.

1851-1860 – Became the 1st archbishop of New Orleans.

        – Hardly anyone in the history of New Orleans accomplished more for the church and for the community than did this clergyman who is little known by our contemporary generations.
