1883 - Born on the 7th of February in Baltimore, Maryland.

1899 - He composed "Charleston Rag".

1921 - With Noble Sissle, co-wrote musical "Shuffle Along".

1978 - The musical Eubie!, which featured the collective works of Blake opened on Broadway.

1983 - He died on 12th of February in Brooklyn, New York and was buried in Cypress Hills Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.

1995 - Eubie Blake was honored with a United States postage stamp.

         - He was inducted into the American Theatre Hall of Fame.
