1833 - Born on the 13th of October in Adelaide Township, Upper Canada.
1856 - He entered into partnership with Stephen M. Jarvis in Toronto to practice law.
1868 - Became leader of the Ontario Liberal Party.
1871-1872 - Served 2nd premier of Ontario, Canada.
1875 - Served as Canadian justice minister.
1876 - He was the chancellor of the University of Toronto.
1877-1878 - Became the President of Canadian Privy Council.
1880 - Became the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.
1887 - Blake resigned as Liberal leader.
1892 - Blake entered the British House of Commons as an Irish Nationalist Member of Parliament.
1907 - He resigned following a stroke and retired to Canada.
