1978 - Born on the 23rd of March in Columbia, Maryland.
1996 - 1997 - He was the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Diamondback.
1998 - He became a summer intern at The New York Times.
1999 - In November, he became an "intermediate reporter."
2000 - His editors were rebuking him for the high error rate in his articles.
2001 - He was made a full-time staff reporter.
2002 - He was promoted to the national desk.
2003 - On 28th of April, he received a call from Times national editor Jim Roberts.
- He traveled to Texas and interviewed the woman in his article.
- He was unable to provide proof and resigned from The Times on 2nd of May.
