1897 - Born on the 15th of February in Detroit, Michigan. US oil businessman and football coach.

1920 - Blaik served in the United States Cavalry.

1924-1925 - He worked as a part-time assistant coach for Miami University.

1926 - Accepted a coaching position on the staff of University of Wisconsin.

1927 - Head football coach George Little.

1930 - Became a part time coach at the United States Military Academy.

1934-1941 - Became head coach of Dartmouth University.

1941-1958 - Head football coach for the United States Military Academy.

1944-1945 - His Army football teams won consecutive national championships.

1946 - He was selected as National Coach of the Year.

1959 - Resigned as head football coach of Army on 13th of January.

1964 - He was inducted in to the College Football Hall of Fame.

1969 - Miami University honored him by induction into the university's Athletic Hall of Fame.

1986 - Blaik received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Ronald Reagan.

1999 - Blaik died on 6th of May at age 92 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
