1931 - Born at Knightsbridge, London on the 16th of July. Irish journalist and novelist whose psychological fiction examines physical and emotional deformity.

         - She was the direct descendant of Richard Brinsley Sheridan.

1949 - She was presented as a debutante at a ball held at Londonderry House.

         - Her first job was with the Hulton Press as a secretary.

1952 - She introduced to Lucien Freud, and the two eloped to Paris.

1953 - She married Lucien Michael Freud, son of Ernst Freud, on December 9thh.

         - Became a striking figure in London's bohemian circles.

1959 - She married Israel Citkowitz on August 15th.

1972 - She married Robert Traill Spence Lowell.

1973 - Wrote her first book, "For All That I Found There".

1976 - Published her first novel "The Stepdaughter".

1977 - Won the David Higham Prize for best novel.

         - Wrote her second novel 'Great Granny Webster'.

1980 - She wrote, "The Last of the Duchess".

1981 - Her third novel, "The Fate of Mary Rose" was released.

1984 - Wrote " On the Perimeter" which was based on interviews and vignettes and "In The Pink".

1992 - Published her two vivid memoirs of Princess Margaret and Francis Bacon.

1996 - She died on 14th of February from cancer at the Mayfair Hotel on Park Avenue in New York.
