1825 - Born on May 4th in Bristol, England. American editor and suffragist.

1832 - His family moved to the United States in New York City.

1855 - Blackwell married Lucy Stone, the college friend of Antoinette Brown, on May 1st.

1867 - He wrote a message to Southern legislature proposing the extension of woman suffrage to counterbalance negro suffrage.

1869 - He devoted most of his time and money to help his wife in organize the American Woman Suffrage Association.

1870 - Stone founded The Woman’s Journal in Boston, Massachusetts. When funding was scarce, he edited the paper without salary until his death.

1909 - Henry Browne Blackwell died on September 7th.
