1721 - Born on the 10th of November in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland.
1733 - He began to write poetry at the age of 12.
Appointed Minister of Kirkcudbright, but was objected to by the parishioners on account of his blindness.
1750s - Sponsored by the empiricist philosopher David Hume.
1767 - He was made D.D. from the University of Aberdeen (Marischal College).
1791 - Thomas Blacklock died on 7th of July in Edinburgh.
