1911 – He was born on the 5th of February in Borlänge, Sweden.

1915 – He made his debut public appearance at the age of four with the Björling Male Quartet.

1930 – His operatic debut as the Lamplighter in Manon Lescaut at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm.

1937 – Björling made his American concert debut in Carnegie Hall.

1938 – He made his debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Rodolfo in La bohème.

1939 – He performed in the Verdi Requiem under Toscanini in Lucerne, Switzerland.

1960 – On the 15th of March, he was suffered a heart attack before a performance at London’s Royal Opera House.

         – He died on the 9th September because of heart-related causes in Sweden at the age of forty-nine.
