1816-1827 - He was a Rumford Professor, Harvard University.

1817-1820 - He wrote the American Medical Botany.

1822 - Published the book Treatise on the Materia Medica.

1829 - He wrote the "Elements of Technology".

1835 - Authored the book "Discourse on Self-limited Diseases".

1855 - Authored the book "Eolopoesis, American Rejected Addresses".

1858 - He worte the Brief "Expositions of Rational Medicine".

1879 - Jacob Bigelow died in Boston on the 10th of January.
