Bible, Dana Xenophon (D. X. Bible)
1891 - Dana X. Bible was born on the 8th of October.
1912 - His first coaching assignment was at Brandon Prep in Shelbyville, Tenn., and he was only 21 years old when he was hired to coach Mississippi College.
1913-1915 - He served as coached Mississippi College.
1916 - He became an assistant coach at Texas A&M while he actually worked as a coach-on-loan at LSU part of that season.
1917 - Bible returned to Texas A&M as the head coach and a legend was born.
1937 - Bible was hired to turn the Texas fortunes around. He inherited a team that was more depressed than the nation's economy.
1946 - He became head football coach for University of Texas.
1980 - He died on the 19th of January.
