US punk rock musician and singer
1958 - Born on the 17th of June in Boulder, Colorado, USA to Stanley Boucher, a psychiatric social worker and poet, and Virginia Boucher.
1977 - He began his career in music in January as a roadie for the punk rock band The Ravers.
Attended in the University of California, Santa Cruz.
1978 - Together with guitarist East Bay Ray they formed the Dead Kennedys.
1979-1986 - Became the lead singer of the Dead Kennedys.
- Dead Kennedys released their first single, "California Über Alles".
1980 - The Dead Kennedys performed at the Bay Area Music Awards.
1981 - Biafra married Therese Soder, aka Ninotchka, the lead singer of San Francisco-area punk. (Divorced 1986)
1983 - Performed in Rock Against Reagan festival.
1986 - Biafra became a spoken word artist at University of California, Los Angeles.
- He put in trial at Los Angeles for distributing "harmful matter" in the Dead Kennedys album Frankenchrist.
1987 - He was the independent candidate for San Francisco mayor and bagged placed 4th in popular vote.
1988 - With Alain Jourgensen of the band Ministry formed the band Lard.
1989 - Biafra did a song for the film's soundtrack with D.O.A.
1990 - Worked with Nomeansno on the soundtrack album The Sky is Falling and I Want My Mommy.
1998 - Former members of the Dead Kennedys sued Biafra for not paying them.
1999 - Biafra and other members of the anti-globalization movement protested the WTO Meeting in Seattle.
2001 - Biafra took part in a protest against the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas conference in Quebec.
2000 - New York State Green Party drafted Biafra as a candidate for the Green Party presidential nomination.
- He gave the keynote speech at the H.O.P.E. 2000 ("H2K") hacker conference.
2005 - Appeared on Episode 285 of This American Life, themed "Know Your Enemy".
- Biafra performed with the band The Melvins.
2006 - He began co-hosting The Alternative Tentacles Batcast
- Released the album "In The Grip Of Official Treason" in October.
