1888 – Born on the 1st of June in Boston.

1909 – Earned B.A at Adams Academy in Quincy.

1911 – Finished M.A at Harvard College.

1914 – Returned to Harvard as an English department assistant.

1915 – Beston joined the French army and served as an ambulance driver.

1918 – Became a press representative for the U.S. Navy.

         – Beston began writing fairy tales under the name "Henry Beston".

1919 – Published The Firelight Fairy Book.

1923 – Published The Starlight Wonder.

1929 – Beston married writer Elizabeth Coatsworth.

1959 – Donated the "Fo’castle" to the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

1964 – Returned to the beach in Eastham.

1968 – Beston died on 15th of April in Nobleboro, Maine.
