1909 - Earned B.A at Adams Academy in Quincy.
1911 - Finished M.A at Harvard College.
1914 - Returned to Harvard as an English department assistant.
1915 - Beston joined the French army and served as an ambulance driver.
1918 - Became a press representative for the U.S. Navy.
- Beston began writing fairy tales under the name "Henry Beston".
1919 - Published The Firelight Fairy Book.
1923 - Published The Starlight Wonder.
1929 - Beston married writer Elizabeth Coatsworth.
1959 - Donated the "Fo'castle" to the Massachusetts Audubon Society.
1964 - Returned to the beach in Eastham.
1968 - Beston died on 15th of April in Nobleboro, Maine.
