1946 – George Best was born on the 25th of November in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

 

1961 – At the age of 15, he discovered in Belfast by Manchester United scout Bob Bishop.

 

1963-1974 – Played for Manchester United as a winger helping them to win the Football League First Division.

 

1968 – Named European Footballer of the Year and Football Writers’ Association Player.

 

1974 – His last game for the club was against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

 

1983 – Retired from the game, at the age of 37.

 

1998 – Best became a football pundit on Sky Sports.

 

2004 – He agreed to join FA Premier League club Portsmouth F.C. as a youth coach.

 

2005 – He died on 25th of November and was buried in East Belfast.
