1935 - Born on the 11th of April in Extension, Louisiana.
1956 - Wrote, composed and recorded song "Louie Louie".
1959 - Sold rights to "Louie Louie" to Flip Records, recorded by the Kingsmen 1963.
Narrator on The Robins' "Riot in Cell Block #9" and singer on the flip side "Framed".
He also recorded "Have Love Will Travel."
1987 - His debut album, the Rollins Band recorded a version of Berry's "Crazy Lover".
1997 - Died on 23rd of January and was interred in the Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, California.
