Berov, Lyuben Borisov(Lyuben)
1925 - Lyuben Borisov Berov was born in Sofia on the 6th of October.
1949 - He graduated in economics from Sofia University.
1950-1962 - He worked as a research assistant in the Karl Marx Higher Institute of Economics in Sofia.
1962-1971 - He became a senior research associate at the same institution and was promoted to a professorship.
1976 - He was made a doctor of economic science and during his years at the Karl Marx Institute he served in a number of senior administrative posts.
- He was an assiduous scholar and published more than 200 books, articles and essays on the economic history of Bulgaria and the Balkans.
- His work on price movements in the 18th and 19th centuries is still regarded as definitive.
1992-1994 - He became prime minister of Bulgaria.
2006 - He died on the 7th of December at aged 81.
