1598 - Born on the 7th of December in Naples, Italy.

 

1605 - At the age of seven he accompanied his father to Rome.

 

His early works for the cardinal were decorative pieces for the garden such as The Goat Amalthea with the

Infant Zeus and a Faun.

 

1620 - Completed the bust of Pope Paul V. Scipione's collection in situ at the Borghese gallery.

 

His architectural design is the great colonnade of St. Peters.

 

His progress through France was a triumphal procession.

 

He was most liberally rewarded by the great monarch.
