1870 – Born on the 21st of November in Ovsei Osipovich Berkkan in Vilnius, Lithuania.


1892 – Convinced that a violent act was needed to electrify the anarchist movement.


     – Attempted to assassinate Henry Clay Frick, a wealthy industrialist.


Convicted of attempted murder and sentenced to twenty-two years’ imprisonment.


1906 – Berkman was released from prison.


1908-1915 – Berkman contributed to Goldman’s paper Mother Earth, and founded the Ferrer Center.


1914 – Began collecting dynamite they had obtained from Russia.


1936 – Berkman committed suicide just weeks before the outbreak of the Spanish Revolution.
