Italian pope
1675 - Born on the 31st of March in Bologna, Italy.
1740-1758 - He was elected Pope on 17th of August.
1757 - Benedict XIV was also responsible, along with Cardinal Passionei, for beginning the catalogue of the Vatican Library.
Entrusted the relics of St. Donatus of Libya, a beheaded corpse, to the Third Order Franciscans, in the village of Vila do Conde, Portugal.
1758 - Prospero Lorenzo Lambertini died on 3rd of May in Rome.
