1910 – Bendix invented and patented the Bendix drive.

1923 – Bendix founded the Bendix Brake Company, and eventually created the first four-wheel brake system for automobiles.

1924 – Formed Bendix Corporation and introduced the first reliable four-wheel brake system.

1929 – He started the Bendix Aviation Corporation.

1931 – He founded the Transcontinental Bendix Air Race.

1942 – Started Bendix Helicopters, Inc. Bendix Aviation and Bendix Brake would later be renamed Bendix Corporation.
