Bell, Glen William Jr.
1923 - Born in California.
1946 - He left military life, and started his first hot dog stand in San Bernardino.
1952 - He sold his first stand and built his second. Shortly thereafter, he switched to Mexican food, which eventually led to him becoming the founder of Taco Bell.
1954-1955 - After experimenting with alternative food items, he opened three Taco-Tia (named after his daughter) stands, which he later sold to his partners.
1962 - He then opened the first Taco Bell in Downey, California on March 21st.
1964 - The first Taco Bell franchise was sold.
1978 - His company grew very well and was later sold to PepsiCo.
