1726 - Andrew Bell was born is a Scottish engraver and printer.

 

Co-founded Encyclopedia Britannica with Colin Macfarquhar.

 

1793 - After Macfarquhar died, he became sole owner of the Britannica.

 

He quarreled with his son-in-law, Thomas Bonar, and refused to speak with him.

 

1809 - He died with a great contribution to the world.
