1954 - "Carmen Jones" movie.

 

1956 - His breakthrough album Calypso was the first LP to sell over 1 million copies.


1957 - "Island in the Sun".

 

1959 - Bagged an Emmy for his TV show "Tonight with Belafonte".

 

1971 - Starred in "Buck and the Preacher" with Sidney Poitier.

 

1996 - Also starred in "Kansas City".
