1943 - Josephina Victoria Occhiuto, born on the 7th of October in Brooklyn, New York.
1968 - Began working as a junior high school English teacher.
1979 - Nearly dying from an ectopic pregnancy, she decided to pursue her dream of a career in comedy, quitting her teaching job and getting a job as a receptionist at the morning talk show Good Morning America in the hopes of being discovered.
