Begin, Menachem Wolfovitch
1913 - Born on the 13th of August in Brest-Litovsk, Poland.
1935 - He finished his Law in the University of Warsaw.
1944 - Leader of Irgun terrorist movement.
1946 - He bombed the King David Hotel on 22nd of July, killing 91 people, mostly civilians.
1948 - He Founded Herut Party.
1970 - He became joint chairman of the Likud coalition.
1977 - Served as Prime Minister of Israel.
1978 - Won the Nobel Peace Prize.
1982 - The Israeli forces invaded Lebanon to clear out PLO strongholds.
1983 - In September, he suddenly resigned, reportedly because of deteriorating health and depression over his wife's death.
1992 - Died on the 9th of March at Tel Aviv, Israel because of Heart Failure.
