1873 – Born on the 1st of December in Roermond.

1895 – Obtained his master’s degree in law at the Leiden University.

1896 – He started his career as a lawyer in Maastricht.

1899 – Ruijs de Beerenbrouck became a member of the Maastricht City council.

1905-1918 – Elected as a member of parliament.

         – Ruijs de Beerenbrouck remained a city councillor and a member of parliament.

1918 – Governor of the provincie of Limburg.

         – On the 9th of September, he was appointed as Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

1925-1929 – Ruijs de Beerenbrouck was chairman of the Tweede Kamer.

1933 – Ordered the bombing of the navy cruiser "De Zeven Provinciën".

1936 – Died on the 17th of April in Utrecht.
