- Educated at Charterhouse School and Merton College, Oxford.
1896 - Published his first book The Works of Max Beerbohm.
1897 - Wrote The Happy Hypocrite.
1910 - He married the actress Florence Kahn.
1911 - He wrote his only novel Zuleika Dobson.
1912-1919 - Wrote A Christmas Garland, a parody of literary styles, and Seven Men, which includes "Enoch Soames".
1935 - Radio broadcaster, talking on cars and carriages and music halls for the BBC.
1939 - He was knighted.
1956 - He died on 20th of May in Rapallo, Italy. His ashes were interred in the crypt of St. Paul's Cathedral, London.
